atVenu is the industry leader for providing an all-in-one solution for running live events. With our growth and industry advancements we need a dedicated Senior Product Manager to develop and implement our evolving payment processing and hardware solutions roadmap.
As a Senior Product Manager, your role will involve researching and developing strategies and implementation plans, to allow us to expand our payment processing and hardware offerings.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for executing those plans with the support of cross functional project-based teams.
You Will:
- Be our resident expert on payment processors and credit card hardware solutions.
- Conduct needs analysis’ to formulate mid/long term strategic recommendations that align with industry requirements and our business objectives.
- Prioritize and develop a processor/hardware roadmap that will allow us to support new hardware and geographies, with our specific industry needs in mind.
- Work with our Finance team to explore the financial feasibility of contract offerings and pricing.
- Coordinate implementation of processor integrations across multiple project teams.
- Assess success and pain points with Operations, Product Managers and project teams on the hardware solutions implemented; accountable for establishing and documenting business requirements and processes that address solutions for issues identified.
- Confidently manage the ‘product’ life-cycle, inclusive of leading cross-functional project teams, keeping stakeholders informed, optimizing processes all the while meeting deadlines.
- At least 8+ years of product management experience, preferably with in person payment hardware experience.
- Solid understanding of the payment industry ecosystem with general knowledge of in person credit card payment workflows, onboarding, payout mechanisms and end to end flow of funds.
- Experience in implementing a card present payment service.
- Knowledge of how payment hardware is certified with understanding of how it impacts key use cases across device offerings with regional considerations.
- Expertise in gathering business requirements, analyzing 3rd party solutions and managing 3rd party vendors, inclusive of contract negotiation and management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in influencing peers, stakeholders, customers, and senior leaders, with the ability to adapt strategies based on new insights or feedback.
- A great track record of prioritizing tasks that take customer and business requirements and delivery constraints into consideration.
- A desire to solve problems at a global scale across multiple product verticals.

Ideally this position will be based in Calgary, however we will consider remote candidates.
